Kato P42 Amtrak 40th Anniversary Paint

kato amtrak p42

I didn't have much time, so I just opened up the Amtrak P42s. Painting commemorating the 40th anniversary of the opening of Amtrak, the United States Passenger Railroad Corporation. Phases 2 and 4 were released last month, and there are now 4 types.

Kato Amtrak P42

Phases 1, 2, 3, and 4 from the front. Phase 1 is a classic style from the early 1970s. Phase 2 is the band from the late 1970s. Phase 3 has a 1980s paint job and Phase 4 has a 1990s style. By the way, the first-generation Genesis (P40) was released in 1992, so Phases 1, 2, and 3 were designed as if they were back then.

Personally, I think it looks cooler if the underfloor and roof are painted black. Phase 4 isn't much different from the Northeast Corridor color, so I'm honestly a little disappointed (lol)

We have everything except Phase 3 in stock, so if you are interested, please come (^^;
